DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE

We are searching for a highly energetic, passionate personality who will manage the strategic planning and operations of F&B Service in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s very high service standards.

  • Develops, directs and manages all food & beverage service activities to maximize food & beverage revenues
  • Achieves profitability and quality goals by developing, and executing marketing strategies, up selling strategies, controlling costs, and by providing quality service and products to guests each day.
  • Monitors present, and future trends, practices and systems in the food and beverage industry, to ensure that the Resort’s food and beverage operations are competitive in the market place.
  • Controls and analyses departmental costs of sales on a daily, weekly, and monthly ongoing basis; takes immediate action to control negative variances.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in a F & B Director role, with previous experiences in five star Resorts preferable.
  • Excellent command of English, plus great presentation & communication skills.
  • Hands-on professional with a solid Room Division / Front Office background, and the passion for quality and excellence
  • Hands-on professional with a solid food & beverage background, and the passion for quality and excellence, as well as the ability to continuously improve.
  • Must have a college / university graduate degree or similar within the Hospitality Industry.

FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

We’re searching for a highly energetic, fun, dedicated personality who will manage the daily Food and Beverage service operations, in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s high service standards

  • Support the Director of F&B to manage all food & beverage service activities, to maximize food & beverage revenues.
  • A task-master with very strong leadership, managerial and administrative abilities.
  • Monitors present and future trends, practices and systems in the food and beverage industry, to ensure that the Resort’s food and beverage operations are competitive in the market place
  • Supports the Director of F&B to audit food & beverage, and wine services and quality on a regular basis, and develops and implements strategies to improve results
  • Monitors and ensures the highest levels of guest satisfaction, by providing quality guest services and products

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in a similar role, with previous experiences in a five star International Resorts
  • Good command of English plus excellent presentation & communication skills
  • Hands-on professional with a solid food & beverage background and the passion for quality and excellence
  • Should have a college / university degree graduate or similar in Hospitality field.

DIRECTOR OF GUEST EXPERIENCES

We’re searching for a highly energetic, fun, dedicated personality who will manage the extremely important, Guest Experiences division in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s high service standards

  • The Management of this large revenue center requires someone who is very well organized, structured and motivated to ensure all our Guests are well taken care of each day with their large choice of incredible experiences.
  • The complete professional person, operating in a discerning, yet relaxed environment
  • A vibrant, bubbly, confident, high energy personality is crucial, should have excellent Guest engagement skills; A fantastic personality is extremely important
  • Understand a very high level detail that resorts/hotels/lodges/cruise liners demand, and the completely uncompromising attitude we provide to Guests, at all times.
  • Will manage large departments such as our Resort Spa, also our offsite Spa Safari experience, Horse Stables, Boathouse Sea Activities, Local excursions, Trekking etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in a senior Director role with previous experiences in a five star Resorts essential.
  • Experience in Resort Activities, Sea and Spa Activities

GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER

We’re searching for a highly energetic, wonderful personality who will support all property operations, ensuring the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. Manages the flow of pre and post arrival information, questions and ensures Guests have a flawless Resort stay while with us. This person will also track and resolve departmental service issues and be the holder of all Guest History data collection and dispersion.

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example
  • Provides service that is above and beyond customer satisfaction and expectations.
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching where needed.
  • Interacts with Guests on a regular basis throughout the property to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction. Records guest issues in the guest response tracking system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in a similar role, with previous experiences in a five star International Resorts
  • Good command of English plus excellent presentation & communication skills
  • Hands-on professional with a solid Guest/Customer service background and the passion for quality and excellence
  • Should have a college / university degree graduate or similar in Hospitality field.

ASST. CHIEF ACCOUNTANT / INCOME AUDITOR

We are searching for a highly energetic, passionate personality who will support the Director of Finance, in managing the day-to-day accounting operations on Sumba Island, in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s very high attention to detailed standards.

  • Responsible to review and verify all financial daily reports in order to ensure proper authorization and compliance with the applicable Company policies and procedures.
  • Review and verify the Night Auditors logbook, daily revenue report and daily Food & Beverage report with supporting vouchers and trial balances
  • Distribute daily reports after obtaining the Director of Finance / Financial Controller’s approval
  • Review the city ledger and credit card transfers of the day, and pass the same to the Accounts Receivable person.
  • Review over and shortages of Cashiers, and take appropriate action and review Front Office foreign exchange rates as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in hotel management or accounting, and at least one years previous experience within a hotel hospitality environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and computer literacy is important, while knowledge of a PMS / VHP system is favourable.
  • Excellent command of English, plus great presentation & communication skills
  • Analytical, pragmatic thinker with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

CHIEF ENGINEER

We are searching for a highly energetic, passionate personality who will support the Director of Engineering, in managing the day-to-day Resort maintenance, in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s very high attention to detailed standards.

  • In the absence of the Director of Engineering, the Chief  Engineer will act as the role of DOE
  • Understands mechanical, electrical and civil mechanics
  • Establish and implement “Safe and Sound” procedures such as life safety manuals, business continuity plan, safety, emergency and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in the development and implementation of engineering Resort systems and maintenance budget (including energy cost, consumption and Capex)
  • Oversee performance, development and coaching of Engineering Colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Services
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a 5-star hotel environment, including 2 years as Chief Engineer, Assistant Director of Engineering or equivalent
  • Must have knowledge of all hotel operations of engineers and maintenance departments.
  • Has experience or desire to working in remote areas

SOUS CHEF

We are searching for a highly energetic, passionate personality who will support the Executive Chef with daily Food preparation and staff management, in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s very high attention to detailed standards.
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing his / her assigned kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center.

  • The role is responsible for preparing great food in accordance with portion and quality standards, specified by recipes, with great attention to detail.
  • Needs to have strong leadership skills, and determined focus on staff development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in an upscale hotel, resort
  • Thorough knowledge of modern cooking techniques
  • Experience in training and working with a diverse workforce is imperative.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, committed to delivering a high level of food service

FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR

We are searching for a highly energetic, passionate personality who will support the Front Office Manager in managing the day-to-day Resort FO duties, in accordance with NIHI SUMBA ISLAND’s very high attention to detailed Guest standards.

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example
  • Provides service that is above and beyond customer satisfaction and expectations.
  • Completely computer Literate, able to generate reports daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Excellent experience with PMS systems.
  • Management of all Reservations, Data Capture, Daily Information gathering and processing on our Company Property Management System.
  • Exceptional Hospitality experience, understand a high quality Resort and our uncompromising attitude to Guests, at all times – Work evenings on rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Front Office Supervisor in an upscale hotel, resort preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Should have a college / university degree graduate or similar in Hospitality field.
